The Sands Teak Dining Side Chair (HL-SNDS-SD-DSC) by Harmonia Living uses mixed materials and architectural accents for a stylish yet practical design. Constructed with sustainably harvested, Grade A teak wood, this piece is naturally resistant to moisture, rotting, and pests and perfectly suited for various climates and environments. The wicker is hand-woven from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is resistant to cracking. Made for lasting durability, color is infused into the HDPE wicker to prevent fading and finished in a beautifully textured Sand Dune color to give it a natural look and feel. Storing or transporting your chairs is easy and seamless with its stackable design. Optional cushions are made in the USA with quick-drying, Dacron and UV-treated, marine-grade PremoBond thread to create a supportive, yet comfortable seat that is meant to last throughout the seasons. All cushions are constructed from Sunbrella, Outdura, and Revolution performance fabrics, which carry a 5-year fade warranty. • Made from sustainable certified V legal, Grade A teak is harvested responsibly. Grade A teak is from mature trees that features grain that is more even, and color that is more consistent than lesser grades of teak.
• Teak is dense hardwood that is naturally oily which offers benefits over other natural woods including resistance to light, heat, moisture and pest damage.
• New teak wood furniture will have a warm golden hue that patinas to a silvery grey over time. Letting the teak patina will not compromise the integrity of the wood, however, to keep the golden color, clean the teak furniture about once a year and apply a thin layer of teak oil.
• High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a synthetic all-weather wicker made with virgin materials that provides resistance to fading and cracking. Wicker color is infused into the HDPE wicker for lasting durability.
• Stackable design makes storage and transportation easy.

Warranty

Harmonia Living’s warranty covers manufacturing defects; normal wear and tear is not included. With a little bit of care, your furniture will outlive the warranty for many years.

• Cushion: Harmonia Living extends a 2-year residential / 1-year commercial warranty against defects in workmanship and other materials used in cushion production
• Fabric: Sunbrella ®, Revolution and Outdura each carry a 5 year warranty. Please refer to the warranty of Sunbrella ®, Revolution and Outdura fabrics as the manufacturer’s warranty will apply.

Care and Maintenance

Teak: Long-term, teak furniture develops a pleasing silvery gray patina, which is cosmetic and not an indication of dryness. Its natural oils help keep this hardwood strong and durable in a variety of environments, so there’s very little maintenance. Because teak is very weather-resistant, it doesn’t need to be stored during the winter or covered with protective tarps. However, covering teak furniture will protect the surface from elements such as hail, wind, and snow, which can cause cosmetic damage. To keep the original golden honey finish, apply a very thin layer of Linseed or Teak oil to your furniture 1-2 times a year, depending on exposure. Cleaning with teak cleaner is recommended every 2-3 years, along with the oil application.

Cushions & Outdoor Fabric: Regular cleaning with mild soap and water will help prevent the buildup of dirt, which can generate mildew. Simply spot-treat stains with mild soap and water, rinse, and allow the fabric to air dry. Cushions will dry much faster when removed from the frames and placed on their sides or edges.
